broadband upgrade

Just upgraded to full fibre. BT speed test showing 150mbs download and upload 30mbs. However other testers show between 52 and 70 download but agree on upload speed.  Also, no new cable to premises so assume I already had fibre and BT just did a reconnect in the cabinet

Re: broadband upgrade

Yes got the works. BT today giving 149 download and 30 upload. Am guaranteed? 100 down and 30 up. Checked 9 independents today and except for couple of very low ones, getting 55 to 60 down and 30 up. Course this wireless and expect to loose some. Cheers

Re: broadband upgrade

the speeds quoted by BT 149/30mb are connection speeds to your router not download speed at your wireless device.  what download speed do you get using ethernet connection

Re: broadband upgrade

Yes understand drop with wireless connection but difference should not be so much. Ethernet gives just a little faster. Going to do several checks throughout the day. Thanks for interest.
