broadband

Hi, yesterday i recieved my new bt smart hub 2.

My previous router was ok and not broken and giving me download speeds of 55Mbps

My new router is only giving me download speeds of 30.05Mbps ?

This doesnt sound right to me, my internet is so slow and feels like i have taken 3 steps back and gone back to the mid 2000's

Would unspliting my router and turning off 2.4ghz and just leaving 5ghz on, or is there a problem with the router?

So frustrating, any help or advice would be welcome

@doodles69

Try turning Smart Setup off.

There are issues with this home hub because of the SSID being the same on both wireless bands.

Try turning off the 5GHz band to start with, to see if it improves speed on dual band devices.

If all else fails, just use your old home hub. The SH2 was intended to work with the complete wifi discs.
