i've had line tests done by BT and they all come back fine (or so they say). Also tried a fault test from the website and that came back fine too.....

Am I right in thinking the only thing you have which is common across your devices is the master socket? Try a replacement

it's a relatively new master socket - only around 18 months old

Finally!  a fault is acknowledged!  Hopefully something will be done about it now.

OK, another issue now - after finally being connected for 17 hours, the connection dropped again.

 

I'm connected at the moment using the old BT OR modem, and my Asus modem is connected via the WAN port:

Problem is of course using the OR modem, i can no longer see any diagnostics about the connection - the above is from my Asus box

Darren, I think you might still have a line issue as it looks like the end (User CPE) to end (BRAS) session dropped somewhere in the path.
