dropouts / disconnections- COULD IT BE a faulty lan port on modem?

ok so after constant disconnects, several phonecalls etc.

i think ive solved the problem to my infinity connection.

when i disconnect, if i look at the lan port it is blank and where you plug in the ethernet cabe (usually a green and orange flashing light in the back) needs to be taken out and moved a bit in order for it to start flashing again.

what do i need to do to get a new fibre modem sent out?

i strongly believe that to be the problem,

ive tried several routers so it is the only solution if there is no fault on the line!

are you referring to the home hub or the white openreach modem if it is the modem then it would need an engineer visit to get it replaced

DAZAD as you're on Plusnet, your comments are at best unhelpful and may be misleading.

Read the post before shouting about things that may not be related to your problem!

Sounds like the lan port is faulty, I've seen this happen before on laptops where the cable needs to be moved in order for the lan port to work.

I would have thought the quickest soloution would be to get BT to send you the new Hub5 which has the modem built in
