Then use the HH3 and Openreach modem.
that is exactly why changing provider to Virgin Media will help.
Hi @factorD,
Welcome back to the Community.
Sorry to hear that you are still having problems with your connection. I think @Keith_Beddoe may be right and you still have a line fault. I know you have said that you are moving to another service provider who doesn't use the Openreach network however if you would like one of the Mods to take a look into this fault please let us know.
I've sent you a Private Message with details on how you can get in contact with the mod team.
Thanks
Matt
well, I have had engineer test the line from premise and the speed was approx 40 Mbps down/10 up. but bthh6 could not provide more than 15 Mpbs down/400 kbps up, no factory reset would help bring about previous 52/10 Mbps any more. So replacement hub arrived and for some reason this time it is bthh5 and it provides 37/9.20 Mbps which is just at the threshold of min acceptable speed. I suppose the line needs to be reset again?
On the other hand a quirky website redirection observed when trying to test speed on bt wholesale page:
question is whether this is deliberate or some kind of corruption in browser (both IE & Chrome), or linked to hh5 rewrite because hh6 was going to actual wholesale test page, rather than to internal hh5 gateway which has another broken link within?
and why this site does not accept valid bt id please?
https://www.bt.com/help/home/broadband/speedtest/
I would say broken authentication script rejecting valid credentials.
Wonder how long has this been going on and attributing to bt users confusion (same category as broken links)?
Give out impression of patchy quality in need of repairs, just like potholes on our roads.
Well, supplying used BTHH5 as a replacement is a big mistake.
1. Wifi is not as good as original BTHH6 and VSDSL connection speed is approx 10 Mbps less .
2. BT HH5 log detail persists after factory reset and because it contains previous user's personal details such as mac addresses of mobile devices (Wifi part of the log) , this constitutes clear GDPR Data Breach !
3. Reporting this to ICO Monday!
Ok, now got the BT HH6 as replacement instead of used HH5 and the initial speed is disappointing.
Nowhere near 52 Mbps with old HH6. Is this supposed to be like this? Obviously not, it is the wrong IP profile.

Hi @factorD,
Thank you for posting. I can see that @RobbieMac is dealing with your case and he'll follow up with you later on today.
Thanks
PaddyB
still on max 35 Mbps down/10 up profile.
The down profile is set by your connection speed jot the other way round whereas the up profile is set by your package whether superfast 1 or 2
Hi @factorD
@RobbieMac is currently out of the office at the moment.
I can see that he missed you when he called today but he is due to follow up with you again tomorrow.
