Re: ip profile has dropped infinity 2

If you have had a problem on the line, the outage, this will probably have caused DLM (Dynamic Line Management) to have kicked in. This is an automated process that lowers your speed and profile to try and maintain a stable connection. Once the problem is removed or repaired, DLM will slowly raise the speed again. This can but not necessarily will, take two or three weeks. It is unlikely that BT will do anything until DLM has had a chance to do it job.

Re: ip profile has dropped infinity 2

Use this speed tester then carry out the further diagnostics and post back a screen shot of all the results including your IP profile for up and down.

Re: ip profile has dropped infinity 2

Try ONE reset of the Homehub and then re-run the speed test to see if it's improved. If it hasn't improved you could try complaining to BT but I suspect that you wll be told that you are within your estimated speeds and that they won't do anything about it.

Re: ip profile has dropped infinity 2

To be honest, unless you are a very heavy user with muliple downloads or lots of streaming devices at the same time I doubt you will notice the difference in what you had and what you have. It is still possible that DLM will improve the speed however it could be that what you now have is as good as it will get.

Re: ip profile has dropped infinity 2

I can't see BT doing anything as your speeds are still within range. It may increase over the next couple of weeks but BT won't want to intervene on an automatic system.
