is this a positive sign?

So I’ve been waiting a long time in the hope of our village getting FTTP but nothing much online has giving me much hope but coming home today this has appeared on the pole outside my property.

PXL_20250707_143511511 (1).jpgPXL_20250707_143500905.jpg

It appears to be fibre that is strung along the street going though these alloy looking hoops with strainers to tension the cable ,but no sign of any sort of CBT on the pole or anything that looks like it could branch off to supply my property with fibre?

Is there a next stage to the process on the pole i need to look out for?

Thanks Stuart

Re: is this a positive sign?

That is a COF250 Cable, which is usually used on Fibre CBT’s.

Doesn’t necessarily mean it’s Openreaches though, there are other Alt Nets who also use the same ones Openreach do.

Re: is this a positive sign?

Since posting i have seen an Openreach van up the road  next to one of the poles so guessing it is Openreach  doing the work (didn't get a chance to pop up and ask).So CBTS should be fitted somewhere then?

Re: is this a positive sign?

COF250 Tails attached to CBT’s are Factory made and come in pre-made lengths of 10m to 350m.

So I’d hazard a guess there will be a CBT within 350m. Bear in mind it might not necessarily be on a Pole, it might go down said Pole and be inside a Joint Box.
