Tricky to tell from a photo if the PON light is steady or flashing green. 😀
Have you tried connecting the BT Home hub`s WAN port to the Ethernet port on the ONT?
asin I can plug my router in and expect service?!
As the ONT is installed and appears as if the PON light is lit, it kinda suggests that a one stage install is appropriate, perhaps the database indicating a two strange install is wrong, have you ordered your BT service yet ?, have they delivered any kit ?
AFAIK , a two stage install requires the ‘fibre’ to be provided to your address ( stage 1) and then brought into service, ( stage 2) as the fibre apparently is already there ( because it’s a new build and provided before you were handed the keys ) I suspect all that is now needed is the router ( when it’s delivered ) connecting and the bar code of the ONT registered and authorised by a single engineer visit
thanks all for your help decided in the end to give bt a call I was getting infuriated with long answer times hence onto the forum here turns out there is a faulty port on the ont am going to plug in my apple airport anyway and see what happens 🙂
