I decided to switch from Vodafone to BT due to a deal which although hasn't saved me any money was hopefully going to give me a better customer service, should i need it. I was given an actiation date 8th October. Today 9th October I am without phoneline and broadband. I called customer service (from my mobile, at a cost) who says there is a problem at the open reach end as the order is showing completed their end and it could take up to 5 days, hopefully sooner. How can a perfectly working phone line not just be switched to a different provider without any issues. I am regretting switching my service. If my order is showing completed BT end, does this mean I will be billed from the 8th or from when my line is actually working? I am considering using my 14 day waiver and going to another supplier as if I have to wait 5 days anyway.
Unfortunately moving to another ISP will probably delay activation even longer especially unless virgin you will still need openreach to connect you which appears to be the problem at present
enter your phone number and post results remember to delete number. https://www.btwholesale.com/includes/adsl/main.html
hopefully there is no waiting list
It would show your exchange and cabinet number. Also your estimated speed range and if cabinet is available or has a waiting list
