I’ll keep an eye out but not come across any issues descried either on ADSL, VDSL or FTTP and most of the work I do is Broadband Repair.

Had it confirmed, there’s a National Problem affecting PPPoE on ECI DSLAMS.

thanks for the information starwire2000.

 

My issue was solved by a moderator in another thread, but something else seems to have cropped up.

 

My connection came back on the 2nd january all was fine with a 80/20 connection then after 24 hours the hub disconnects again. It alternated between orange and blue lights.

 

I couldnt get the hub to connect so i tried the new netgear and it connected first time perfectly, but now i seem to only have a 63/20 connection.

 

Is that speed due to the netgear? i wanted to see what i would get with the hub but i cant get it to connect (ive tried resetting)

Apparently some update was applied to ECI Cabs and it caused PPPoE Issues.

Resetting the Card may resolve it, if not then a Lift and Shift onto a new port might.

If that doesn’t help there’s nothing more a field Engineer can do and the issue needs to be dealt with by the back office support guys.

i have a connection with the netgear router not the home hub and its reduced to 63012 kbps instead of the solid 80 i had for the last couple years.

But that has nothing to do with the ECI cab issue.

 

Post the connection stats from the netgear.
