BT - Wont connect to Steam Webpage's

Greetings all. I'm currently having problems getting onto the Steam pages and I'm not quite sure why, I'm getting a 118 error witch is a time out. From what I can see its only me that has this issue and one other guy that posted. I think this has something to do with BT as I've done everything to try and solve the issue, such as Firewall look up etc. Its been down now for a good 6 hours. Can someone Confirm that Steam is not working for them as well and can BT look into this please?

Re: BT - Wont connect to Steam Webpage's

I've noticed that since last night I can't access the steam forums.

I can open this page http://store.steampowered.com/  but I get a "problem loading page" if I try to go to their forums, something I can normally do without any problems.

My guess is that this maybe a temporary issue that steam is having.

Hi,

Why would BT need to look into it, its the community and Forum pages on the Steam site that are causing problems. All other pages seem to be loading.

have you tried emailing steam support:smileywink:

This is looking like it's a BT issue, I am getting the same issues accessing the community pages and the forums.

This started on Friday and I am unable to access from my PC or mobile through BT, although when I switch to Vodafone mobile network everything loads up just fine.

Re: BT - Wont connect to Steam Webpage's

I concur with the Saint, community and store tab in the steam application are not working now

Failed to load web page (unknown error).-118

Failed to load web page (unknown error).

The forums aren't working and  http://store.steampowered.com/ which worked fine when I last posted is not working either.

I don't know if it has anything to do with BT but it is looking likely, I asked a few friends to check if they had any problems and they didn t.

Having same problems with Steam. Judging by the steam forums also (accessed by my phone) It seems there is a growing number of BT customers (mostly inifinity) with the same problem. 5 different threads on the 1st page of the help and tips section. Steam itself works fine and can access all my games etc but no webpage related to steam is loading.

just checked to see if i can replicate the problem and yup i cant get on any of the links posted in this threads.  Playing on steam (counterstrike) is fine however.  Just the website itself seemed broken.

Re: BT - Wont connect to Steam Webpage's

I am having the same problem, some pages I can access others not. Unfortunatly I can't verify my email because I can't get the the page I need to do it so dispite it being sega weekend on steam and all the prices are reduced on sega games I can't buy any because my email isn't verified. Please BT look into this as it isn't just one person complaining several of us are having this issue.
