Re: Infinity drops below 1M bits each day

@bullitt ... but the report to ZDNet by BT says they are fixing a firmware bug and will roll it out when they have tested it.

Would be nice to have confirmation here on the BTCare forum rather then read things 2nd/3rd hand on ISPReview and ZDNet ...

I'll keep checking my router and see if anything has been done.

Firmware revisoion as of 26/6  :   V100R001C01B031SP09_L_B

Anyone got a later/different version???? Type B ...

Firmware revisoion as of 26/6  :   V100R001C01B031SP09_L_B

Same for me at the moment, Ive managed 13 hours without needing to reset the HH3 but it will no doubt flake out again tonight :smileysad:

As a slight aside I had a chat today with the engineer who came out to me for this problem on Friday of last week. He was totally unaware of this and as much in the dark as I was untill a day or so ago.

So I pointed him towards this thread.

It would be nice if the engineers were kept in the loop about problems like this rather than treated like mushrooms.

(Hello Richard if you happen to see this)

Re: Infinity drops below 1M bits each day

Nope, as can be seen from the logs, laptop got DHCP lease, working fine, then slow down (23:20ish) and I go in and disconnect/reconnect, nothing before that on the logs that I can see:

23:24:08,25 Jun.WAN connection WAN4_TR069_INTERNET_R_ETH1 disconnected.[ERROR_USER_DISCONNECT]
23:24:08,25 Jun.PPP LCP Receive Termination ACK
23:24:08,25 Jun.PPP LCP Send Termination Request
23:24:06,25 Jun.HTTP User admin login from 192.168.1.69 successfully.
23:23:22,25 Jun.HTTP User admin from 192.168.1.69 login failure.
23:23:08,25 Jun.HTTP User Basic login from 192.168.1.69 successfully.
21:57:52,25 Jun.DHCP Lease issued for IP 192.168.1.69 to host David-PC (MAC 90:A4:smileyvery-happy:E:49:smileyvery-happy:3:F8), duration: 14 days

Re: Infinity drops below 1M bits each day

Mail back from 'the BTCare Community mod team yesterday;

" As far as I know we aren’t aware of any issues but I’ll be happy to look into it for you. I can appreciate that your unsure if installing the new hub will help but if the problem persists I can certainly investigate it for you. Let me know how you get on with the new hub and we can take it from there."

The third HH3 has yet to arrive, The second one arrived the day after order. The third one was ordered by the mod team on the 25th so we'll give it a couple of days yet.

What's got my goat now is that my service has gone from a stable line that would drop in speed once a day to a non stable line that disconnects and reconnects at least twice a day but this has the affect of keeping the speed up. And what have I changed not a god dam thing other than the HH3 and now I'm being asked to swap it again!

Not happy.

23:24:08,25 Jun. WAN connection WAN4_TR069_INTERNET_R_ETH1 disconnected.[ERROR_USER_DISCONNECT]

That's my going in and asking it to disconnect. I then reconnect later on, not shown.

i.e. nothing on log I can see between getting DHCP and it going v slow for ALL wireless devices (didn't have anything wired turned on to see how wired was going).

Some people have been saying it is a wired only problem, certainly not for me.

Re: Infinity drops below 1M bits each day

tr069 is a remote management protocol used by bt not you

Re: Infinity drops below 1M bits each day

But,

If you do a disconnect, you get that message in the logs as "USER_ERROR" ...

So I guess modem sees the HH3 doing a user disconnect as a remote protocol poke as well (albeit from a different diection)

Re: Infinity drops below 1M bits each day

I also get this twice a day its been driving me mad since joining BT Infinity 2 service on the 25th May from o2. I'm comforted I'm not alone with having the speed problem but frustrated so many of us are having the same problem without a fix.
