Twitch.tv - Constant Buffering and concerning tracert

Hey,

I was wondering if I could get some help with a constant buffering issue with twitch.tv

I have the 80/20mb package and I am on totally unlimited however when ever I try and use twitch.tv I get constant buffering no matter what resolution.

I have ran a tracert and I am surprised to see a number of request time outs which would suggest its a problem with BT rather than at my end.

I have copied the tracert below and would appreciate some quick assistance on this matter.

Re: Twitch.tv - Constant Buffering and concerning tracert

I watch twitch and I think it's at their end. Sometimes it goes fine and sometimes it is awful. I've found the worse time is when it is afternoon/early evening in the US.

many servers do not respond to being pinged it does not mean there is a problem

Re: Twitch.tv - Constant Buffering and concerning tracert

the 720p mlg stream has started buffering for me in the last half hour, if it doesnt improve i'll try the 480p stream,

no idea if its a bt or twitch issue, anyone with another isp able to comment on their stream experience?

i think it may be a twitch issue as the same thing happened during the cod championships

Re: Twitch.tv - Constant Buffering and concerning tracert

For basic tasks a non direct route is not an issue. However for streaming sites this is and issue.

I don't think the problem is at twitch.tv ends as it works perfectly on other ISP's. Their has also been a recent case in NA in regards to the same issues shown by the same sort of tracerts that was happening on the timewarner ISP.

The problem turned out to be timewarner not wanting to fully support the site but after high level talks late last week they did support and all issues dissapeared.

I would suspect this is a similar issue.

I would be interested to hear an offical response from BT.
