BT SIM with Broadband

I get my SIM for £5 a month as a BT Broadband customer. I renewed my contract for broadband in February this year,(24 mth term) there was no mention of BT services all going over to EE at that time.

If you have transferred to EE, what are the pros and cons of switching now as opposed to contract expiry or being told I have to do it on a certain day?

I'm pretty sure I won't get the SIM for £5 deal I'm on now.

Re: BT SIM with Broadband

I am in the same situation with 5 BT family SIMs. As far as I can see there is very little benefit to moving to EE unless you want the newer version of the hub.
You will lose your mobile double data bonus and also free roaming if you change to EE mobile. On ringing BT ive also found that EE broadband & mobile packages are more expensive. Personally I'm staying with BT for both until I'm pushed!

Yeah, I think I'll be doing that, I pretty much only use my phone for text and online, so unless EE can offer me a better deal, I'll be waiting for the push too.

Re: BT SIM with Broadband

@glennbentley & @debjb52  We were with BT mobile and went onto a rolling monthly contract beginning of October and moved to another MVNO, Mobile Virtual Network Operator, in October. See a list of MVNOs and which network they use: List_of_mobile_virtual_network_operators_in_the_United_Kingdom. Some of them include “Roam like home” and Smarty, that we now use also includes MMS messages in the monthly charge. You will need to check the reception for the 4 MNOs where you live which you can do here: mobile-coverage We are now paying less for more data.
