My daughter has ahand me down 5s from her sister, locked to EE.
We have BT broadband, so I want to take advantage of the cheaper SIM.
I have read many posts, on many sites, relating to the use of a BT SIM in phones locked to EE, and they are contradictory.
On one site two posts, tagged as "Solutions", had opposite answers.
My question is quite simple.
Has anyone out there with an EE locked iphone, actually tried a BT SIM in it, and if so, did it work?
Thanks in advance.

Initially you could not use a locked EE phone with BTsim but there was a post where person it now works
can you not just put your BT sim in her phone and see if it works
Hi, just wondering if anybody else has had any luck with using an ee locked phone with a bt sim please? Appreciate the last message confirmed this worked however I've just spoken to two ee staff who were certain this was not possible.
many thanks in advance.
Its been reported in the news over the last 24 hours that all UK networks have agreed to start unlocking phones for free as long as they are outside of their minimum contract period.
Why not just ask EE to unlock the handset?
I'm still in contract so don't want to pay the fee.
