I'm very keen to get a BT Signal Assist to help with our almost non-existant signal at home. Mobile is with BT, but broadband account is currently with Plusnet, using a 3rd party router.
The Signal Assist instructions at http://bt.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/57039/~/set-up-and-use-bt-signal-assist imply that it is possible to get it reactivated if moved to another router/broadband provider. Is it possible to get the initial activation done through my current Plusnet account, or will I have to wait until we are free to swap back to BT broadband?

Hi @OJ, it does say that all you need to do is call 150 to get BT to reactivate it. Plusnet wouldn't be able to do anything as the Signal Assist is related to your mobile supplier and no broadband.
Try calling BT, they should be able to organise the reactivation for you, although be prepared for several calls until you get through to someone with the necessary knowledge on the subject
