I've always had 25GB Data, however I signed up to plus which said it would double my data, well it's still 25GB. I presumed it would double to 50GB.

Plus should double your data from the date of activation and you are correct if you were on 25GB it would be 50GB providing your on the same bill as the plus account.

Another quick question, i'm going to Germany next week. Do I need to enable anything for roaming on my account? It should be free and just work right?

Glad to hear.
You can use roam like home in Germany but you need to ensure that in mybtmobile that you have data roaming switched on.
