Hi thinking getting new mobile for myself and son needing new mobile as well is bts family sim deals cheaper than two different contracts. Also do bt sell refurbished phones.
It's cheaper if you both need the same allowance, if one of you uses far less or more, then 2 separate contracts could work out cheaper. BT Mobile handsets are always brand new, if you want a refurb buy elsewhere and go for a sim only plan.
