Call waiting on galaxy A5

This may have been asked before and I just can't find it.
I can't seem to get call waiting working since changing to samsung a5 all the settings are on but a second call goes to answer phone without informing me of that call until they hang up and I get a text.

Any ideas pls.

Hi @Silentbob  welcome to the community and thanks for posting, the call waiting is a feature controlled on the mobile handset so you need to activate it in the call settings.  

Turn call waiting on or off : Samsung Galaxy A5

1. Find "More settings" Press Phone. Press Keypad. Press the menu icon. ...
2. Turn call waiting on or off. The current settings are displayed. Press Call waiting to turn the function on or off.
3. Return to the home screen. Press the Home key to return to the home screen

Done that didn't work factory reset phone no good tried SIM in my work phone also an a5 which works on the o2 sim but no good with bt sim put work SIM in my phone call waiting works. The issue follows the SIM. Any other ideas
