Currently I am awaiting a new phone, not an expensive one but nevertheless, a Samsung. I've also been a customer of BT for the last six or seven years I would think and have a BT Sim only account. My question is: when I get my new smart phone, how do I change the Sim to the new phone? Is it really just a case of swapping the Sim to the new phone or is it a little more involved? I seem to remember there was a little bit of a problem back at the end of 2019 and I was contacted by BT but I can't find the email just at the moment.
So, just what is involved in simply transferring the Sim to a new phone? Any help would be very much appreciated. Many thanks.

Both myself and my O/H have had new phones within the last 18 months or so and have been with BT Mobile SIM only for 3/4 years. I think it really is just a case of swapping the SIM over to the new phone, although on both occasions with us I ordered a replacement SIM which meant that I just had to put that into the new phone without needing to fiddle around removing the SIM from the old phone.
