Just swapped to BT and am in the same situation for about a week now. They said there is nothing they can do because their network doesn't support the voicemail icon.

 

Tried it in other sims but it just follows the sim in which ever phone its in.

 

I said that i had read here that a new sim card works so fingers crossed

 

They told me a new sim card wont work however and was told i would just have to google the problem, which was a bit annoying.

 

Hopefully this sim card works

Awesome, got my new sim card today and it worked. 

 

Really hope that they call back so i can confirm that this works.

That's odd that they said a new sim wouldn't work as it has for many me included glad your sorted

Ok, I've been on a live chat to BT and they have ordered me a new SIM.

It's happened to me too and I've tried everything suggested, bar getting a new SIM. So I will try that. 

But BT - can't you get this sorted? It's a MAJOR pain.

Hi Same here with voicemail dot. Its driving me mad. Bt dont seem to have any idea. They blamed my prevous supplyer. Said it would go off in 28 days. But it didnt. I have requested a new simm.

Watch this space.

Ok. Sent for new simm. Was told it wouldnt work as there was a common fault.

Glad I read this, only been with BT a few days and the BT voice mail they sent to setup voice mail has been stuck (icon) and could not remove, so will be on phone tomorrow asking for new sim.

 

Also, and not idea on this one, day 1 & 2 I was using the BT number supplied with sim, day 3 my old GiffGaff number as transfered.

 

Day 1 & 2 no problem with 3G & 4G, day 3 - 5 no 3G or 4G  (aka no data), hoping that's a sim problem also then.
