Death - mobile contract

Hi, my stepdaughter died last year and her mobile phone contract was linked to my  main account- BT have said because it’s still in the 24 month contract period (she got it on her 16th b day 2 months before she died) I still have to pay the full £30 a month until it runs out—-this can’t be right?! I haven’t had the energy to deal with this much more than telling the UPGRADE department when they call me about her contract! Unbelievable and traumatic -any help gratefully received

Welcome the community, sorry to read of your experience and I am sorry for your loss.
