Hi Guys,
Can someone explain why I am suddenly receiving EE Voicemail alerts when I am a BT Family Sim customer and have never been an EE customer?
Interestingly none of the other users in my FSim plan are receiving the alerts.
Thanks
OJ

Hi @Old_Joe
Welcome to our community.
Do these seem to be genuine, as in you actually do have a voicemail that it's alerting you to?
Lesley
Hi Lesley,
Yes genuine VM telling me about an expected delivery time.
Original alert reads "You have a new message - call +44 7953 223571"
That I believe is the EE Voicemail number.
As a BT customer was just wondering if I have already been switched to EE.
If I haven't, then there is an issue as another post mentions "Spurious Voicemail " and is similar to my issue. In that post the client has been asked to call EE to resolve as they switched from EE to BT.
OJ
Thanks for confirming that @Old_Joe
You wouldn't have been switched without knowing, plus you would have been sent a new SIM. However, BT does use the EE network so I wouldn't be too concerned but I would definitely give our team a call to double check this.
Lesley
Hi Lesley,
Thanks for the quick response. I'll put a call in to the helpdesk.
I'll be interested to see how EE intend to handle FSim customers.
Thanks
OJ
Good luck @Old_Joe
Let me know how you get on.
Lesley
+447953223571 is the BT Voicemail number. The alert you're receiving however is as a result of BT Mobile Voicemail moving over to the EE Voicemail system, in October/November and it that sends this type of notification. The way it pops up will differ between different phones.
The EE Voicemail number is +447953222222
