ESim Support for new iphone

Hi everyone,

I am currently on a BT Mobile family plan and would really like to stay with BT. However, I am looking to upgrade to the eSIM-only iPhone duo and wanted to know if BT offers eSIMs yet?

If eSIMs are not currently supported, does anyone know if there are plans to introduce them in the near future? I'd really rather not switch providers, but having an eSIM is a requirement for my next phone.

Thanks for your help!

@1211  The answer, is in this thread:

Not that it will make any difference to yourself, but I just switched back to my preferred MVNO that states eSIM is only available on the iPhone 17 Air. During the sign up process, I disregarded the warning and went through with the eSIM sign up and it works perfectly fine on my iPhone 17 which does have a SIM slot but is in any case, fully eSIM compatible. Previously, I only ever had a physical SIM card with that particular MVNO. ESIM's are indeed much more convenient.

EE Mobile does fully support eSIM. Whether BT have any actual plan to introduce eSIM to their mobile plans, is anyone's guess, but I believe BT Mobile operates as a MVNO off the back of EE anyway.
