Getting my old number back

Hi my mobile services were cancelled and my number has been lost too, I would like my number back, how can I get it back, I have a pay as you go sim card now to transfer it to.

Did you ask for it to be cancelled ? to retain the number it's a PAC that you need, chances are it's gone now, you could try calling the mobile support team, they might be able to help but you also might need to order a mobile service again to see if it can be reactivated and added to the new service.

Hi thank you for the reply, I didn't ask for the services to be cancelled, they were cancelled by bt.

Was it for non-payment ? If so this could prove difficult, you'd have to pay off your outstanding debt and when trying to get services again, BT could ask for a deposit which is refunded after 6 months continuous payments.

Only then will they try and retrieve your old number again.
