Handset Upgrade

Go to solution

My contract has ran out (well saying that it's auto continued on) and its been telling me that I am able to upgrade yet whenever I try to do so on the website or app or any browser i get through the whole process to the point where it checks my details after I confirm the order and then tells me I do not have a handset that can be upgraded. I contacted BT to check and was told that I indeed am eligible for a upgrade yet still can not place an order due to the reason it keeps coming back as I don't have an eligible handset for upgrade.

It could be the confusion is down to the wording, you wouldn't be upgrading as that would mean more data and/or minutes allowance, what you want is to regrade to a new handset plan or downgrade to a sim only, depending on your preference.

Contact BT as they have a dedicated mobile retention team, they'll know what you want and explain your options.
