Migrating to EE - saving contacts list

Go to solution

Afternoon all

Samsung A20e. I'm migrating to EE now my contract is ending.

EE have sent a new sim.

I don't know where my contact list is stored. If it's on the existing sim, I can transfer it to the phone.

Does anyone know how to find out where the existing contacts list is stored ?

TIA

Dave

if you use the Android/Google Contacts App it is stored on the cloud (and on the phone) and will automatically come across assuming your phone number remains the same.

Re: Migrating to EE - saving contacts list

Thanks Chris.

The Contacts app was useful.

I downloaded the Contacts app and exported the VCF file to a PC.

https://www.samsung-messages-backup.com/resources/transfer-contacts-from-android-phone-to-computer.h...

I now have a copy if it all goes pear shaped.

Regarding finding out where the file is stored

In my case,I opened the contacts app and selected 'fix and manage' followed by 'Import from SIM'.

I got the message 'No contacts on your SIM card' .

They must be on the phone, so the new SIM should be able to access them. 🤞

Cheers

Dave
