For some reason my BT mobile no longer shows me as connected to the BT network but to Virgin. It still works perfectly fine. Is it because I am presumably working via a Virgin mast? All details as per my BT mobile account are still correct.

It shouldn't because virgin are a MVNO and use 3's network... But the service providers could have been sharing facilities today in response to unprecedented network congestion

Just for the benefit of the thread, Virgin Mobile have never used 3's network - they currently use EE, albeit with certain limitations.
My bad, it was T-Mobile they were on originally until they merged with Orange to create E.E.
