We have a family plan and all four of us have had problems sending texts over the past few days...
This has happened to me on several occasions since joining BT last year.
This is clearly an ongoing problem and BT needs to get its act together and sort it out before people vote with their feet.
I've aslo had this for a few days, nothing but poor signal and issues since I switched last week, about to phone and cancel and try another network.
Prices and packages might be good, service is shocking.
Changing provider won't help. It's not just BT, their carrier EE or even the UK with the problem. I'm with Tesco and their carrier O2 is the same and they'reblaming it on a worldwide Ericsson software issue.
At least I now know that it's not a problem with my phone,
@Hamishjwrote:At least I now know that it's not a problem with my phone,
The o2 issue started today at around 5:30am, and apparently affects their whole network (including people like Tesco who piggyback). o2 blames a 3rd software issue for the data issue, rather than text or voice services.
However there are reports from people (#o2down) that it affects more than their data access.
The BT (using EE) issue is a different problem, and the tweet thread here seems to give the details (though a bit misleading with the initial tweet - and to me almost having a dig at the o2 problem) :-
