I'd argue that the £5 isn't fine, it's the lowest option available. If I had the choice of lower options, I'd choose them.
I have some great news. Some of you may have already noticed but BT has changed the threshold for setting a mobile spend cap on BT Mobile accounts.
From yesterday (Sunday 1st July) BT mobile customers can now set a spend cap of £0 or £2.50. Prior to this change the minimum level was set at £5. This will help avoid any unexpectedly high bills :smileyhappy:

Oh WOW - that is """brillient""" - HUGE THANK YOU - I know its a perhaps a small thing to many - but now I can relax knowing that once I hit my limit all stops until the next billing cycle - rather than keep checking usage.
I will now definaley be staying with BT mobile 🙂
