Can anyone advise please -
We are thinking of moving from EE to BT mobile when our contracts end in June. Do we set up our new BT accounts first and can we keep our existing numbers or do we tell EE we are moving? Will our contract with EE terminate automatically or do we need to cancel it and the direct debit?
Any advice would be much appreciated, we are both helpless with technology!

You'll need a PAC code
Text 65075 to get one
Give EE at least a months notice you're leaving
Give BT your PAC number
Your existing number will now transfer to BT

Why would the advice be get a pac AND give EE at least a months notice? The PAC process does the work for you so if you get a pac you don't need to give EE any notice
Indeed, informing EE would I suspect just complicate matters. Get the PAC, use it, wait to be ported, job done.
By my experience once you give notice you're leaving the fabulous not previously existing deals materialise
If you want to leave then fine
But this way opens the door for possibly a better deal then the one you're leaving for.
Well if anyone can get a cheaper 10gb a month deal through MSE for £25 a year that I'm currently paying using an MVNO that runs off the EE network, please let me know 👍
Thank you - do we do this now or just before the contract ends?
Thank you
