I had a scheduled call from the GP today, and was looking at my phone when I got a text saying I had a voicemail. I was able to access my voicemail, the person said they had called but it went straight to voicemail. There was no call activity recorded on my phone - no missed call, no received call - just my outgoing call to voicemail. No other calls today.
I could dial out so I dialled the surgery - got through, but then call cut off. Eventually managed to get through but dialling in is not how these appointments work and I have several health problems to manage, will be difficult if I cannot receive calls.
After sorting this, I asked my sister round the corner to ring me after checking all the appropriate call forwarding options were disabled, even dialled #61# etc to confirm this, unknown numbers are not blocked, do not disturb is off, etc.
I found some random site that offered a free call and dialled my number - and the phone rang. But someone in my contacts is not able to ring me. I don't have another phone to try. The random phone dialling number is on my received calls. But no other calls are coming through.
Is this likely an upstream problem with my number requiring BT support, or an issue with phone? Is very bizarre and last time I needed to receive a call 2 days ago was fine. But now nobody can call me but for some reason a online web dialler from New York could when I tried it?
I can dial out consistently currently but no calls are reaching the phone no matter what I do - just going straight to voicemail, apart from the one number I was able to dial in from but all these sites are asking for money and am afraid I'll get scammed or lose money if I enter any card details just for this purpose.
did you try the old faithful switch it off leave for 10/15 secs an then back on again? did you check 'do not disturb' is turned off. do you use wifi calling if so try turning that off and on again
