Number port problem?

Hi

When I switched to BT mobile I ported also my number. Now, I have strange problem, some people  send text message  to my ported number and I

received it, but when I send message back they received it from temporary BT number. Even more confusing is that, it is not working like that with every people,most of them receives it as should. Any ideas?

Are you using the straightforward messaging app or iMessage or Whatsapp or similar?

I have android phone so I'm using WhatsApp, but that problem applies to normal text message...

What happens with calls? Is the behavior the same? If it is then it could be a split port and you’ll need to contact customer services to get it sorted out. 

Alternatively you could have RCS activated in the messages app.

Cheers for link, I think problem occurs only when texting. I found that I had chat option on in messages settings. Hopefully it will help.
