BT Sim activated and working.Settings show 'Disconnected from Mobile Network State' and I am at a loss as to how to fix.Anyone in the community with experience of the issue? I hope so

try swapping around the network mode, and see if it works? if it does move it back...
Also you may wish to check the APN settings
Thanks for the response Dean....much appreciated.Should have made clear my Galaxy 6 is a tablet not a mobile.I cannot get at the features in settings you list particularly APN.I think this wretched problem with Mobile Network State relates to Long Term Evolution 4G in that the SIM is quite happy and wors OK with BT but will not look for other providers.Samsung say I should take up the issue with BT......is there a fix or shall I just put up with it ?

Have you tried the SIM in another device to make sure the SIM is working? And have you tried the Network checker to see if there are any issues in your area? May as well check the basics..
I have looked around on the web, and it seems the issues is reported several times on various networks mainly with samsung devices.. All seem to offer different resolutions...
If that fails, you could try a speaking to the mobile chat team. They may not be able to resolve the issue but it gets logged and passed on..
