Switching mobile number to another account

Hi,

My mum has BT Broadband with 1 family SIM (1GB).  I have BT Broadband with 2 family SIMs (6GB).  My contract is cheaper than hers, but that's another story!

However, my account has my mother's mobile number attached to the second SIM and her account has my wife's mobile number.  My wife would benefit from the extra data. BT have advised there is no way to switch the numbers around on the account.  Surely there must be a way?

Does anyone have any helpful way that I can ask BT to sort this out?

There's no way to do what you want without ceasing and porting the number out to another provider, then porting the number back again.

The accounts are in different names, so different legal entities, your mum is the owner of your wife's sim and you're the owner of your mums.
