Unlocked S9+ and Wifi CAlling

I have been with BT for a wee while now on Sim Only

I am considering buying a s9+ directly from Samsing so will be an Unlocked UK Version

Will Wifi calling work on this, i need it in around the house to be able to make and receive calls

Bt Saying they can only guarantee it on Devices bought from them is a bit **bleep**

This old thread https://community.bt.com/t5/BT-Mobile/Wifi-Calling/td-p/1638964 is worth reading, I would suggest jumping in around page 100.

It depends on what firmware Samsung have installed and how much further development BT have done, I somehow don't think that you'll get a definitive answer without actually trying it. If it didn't work then you could flash different firmware as others have done, although there are risks.

Another option is to phone BT and ask for a Signal Assist unit, which provides a local 3G signal up to 15m. I have one and find it more reliable than wifi calling.
