I recently installed a BT 6 Home HUB.
When I had the BT 5 Home Hub, I got wifi on my mobile via the hub
when at home and automatically when away from home.
Now I get it at home only, when I am away from home, I am asked to
sign in every time, even when I have asked to be connected automatically,
Why is this, is there something that I should have done and didn't do?
Thank you in advance for any replies.
Solved! Go to Solution.
when you are away from home you will be using BTWIFI connection and the change of hub will not affect your BTWIFI connection - username and password are just the same
are you using BTWIFI at home? why not your home wifi?
Thank you Imjolly for replying,
I am using my home network when I am at home, this is connected
automatically, when I go out I lose that connection, if attempt to
go on to the internet I am asked to sign in, this is the bug bear, I have
never had to do this before, unless maybe the first time.
I am offered a chance to pay BT money several different ways to get
on the net, or if I have BT Broadband to sign in.
It is not a great problem, but very annoying.
So you are saying that you have to sign into BTwifi every time your out of your home? And you get the option of sign in via your BT account or pay..
Download the BT Wi-fi app that has an installer that lets you auto connect when you are near a BT Wi-fi hotspot
Thank you Dean007,
That was easy, I now have the APP installed, it told me
that I would be automatically connected to thousands
of BT Wifi hotspots when I am out.
I could before without any app though.
