Hi all My daughter iphone 7 has stopped working after a short exposure to see water. We have the phone through BT contract. What is the process to get a replacement please? Regards
If the phone is under 12 months, contact BT for support, if older than 12 months, you contact Apple.
One thing to note is you might be best off claiming via insurance, handsets have markers that change colour when exposed to water, if the phone is opened up and there's evidence of water the claim will be rejected, then sent back for you to repair it yourself.
As you stated it got wet, the markers will of detected the water, so you'd be best off saving yourself the time and get the repair done yourself, a claim under warranty would not be covered for water damage.
