new BT mobile default SIM - not accepting 5555

Hi - I am having problems trying to set a new PIN on the SIM on my iPhone. When enabling a PIN for the SIM it asks for the current PIN and does not accept 5555.

Does anyone know the default PIN number for a personal BT SIM please?

I have one remaining chance to enter the PIN, help!

Thanks in advance.

Do I have to deliberately lock it out with three invalid attempts and then use my PUK code to unlock and reset it perhaps?

@userquery

If you login to MyBT and look at your mobile details, I think you may find the unlock code there.

Re: new BT mobile default SIM - not accepting 5555

thanks Keith, yes I can see the unlock code, but it is the PIN I was after.

Are you suggesting I use the PUK code instead of the PIN - I have tried that and it does not accept the PUK code entered on the PIN screen?

If I lockout the SIM PIN due to too many incorrect attempts, I presume I can unlock using the PUK (I hope) and would I then be able to set a PIN of my choosing?

Thanks for your help

I think that is the idea.
