Apple TV BT App HDR version

Go to solution

I notice in the press that BT will be running out HDR in the various apps. Reports mention the Apple TV app. Does anyone knwo what version of HDR is going to come to the Apple TV? I assume HDR10?

Re: Apple TV BT App HDR version

Hi @400,

That's a good question and thank you for posting.

I do believe the BT Sport App on Apple TV is HDR10. I'm double checking with the App Tv and I'll post back once I get word back.

Thanks

Thanks. As I also have the 4K set top box, where would this sit in the grand scheme? Can it do HDR10, I am guessing the rest are out the question.

The BTtv 4k set-top-box can not do HDR at all.

Hi @400,

My colleagues in the App team have got back to me. They've confirmed that The BT Sport App on Apple TV uses HDR10.

Thanks

Presumably though you will need to have the 4K subscription to be able to see it.

@cooperman  It is the BT Sport app where HDR is available  for this one event so not linked specifically to whether you have the BT 4K TV  subscription  just whether you have BT Sport  App subscription and of course devices that are capable of HDR.

Have a  look at
