BT SPORTS APP: Casting to TV = Audio out of sync

Hello

I have read that MANY people are having this problem, watching the BT SPORT APP on iOS is fine... but casting to a TV or in my case a nvidia Shield means the audio goes out of sync, TV adverts are fine... but LIVE is ALWAYS effected.

theres not a problem with my TV or my Nvidia Shield its on BT's end... please can you fix this? it only happens on LIVE sports and not recorded sports

Thank you

Re: BT SPORTS APP: Casting to TV = Audio out of sync

Hi @eddywatson,

I haven't used a Nvidia Shield but often cast using chromecast, I haven't experienced a sound sync issue with BT Sport yet.

I had a look at can see that you can adjust the sync on the Nvidia Shield. You can manually adjust the audio video sync in the advanced display and audio settings.

  1. Select the Settings icon.
  2. Select Display & Sound
  3. Select Advanced settings.
  4. Select Audio Video Sync.
  5. Use the slider to match the bouncing ball to the sound.

Make an adjustment and then return to your streaming video to see if it made an impact.

Thanks

Re: BT SPORTS APP: Casting to TV = Audio out of sync

hello

that may very well work... but last night for the Manchester United Juventus game the sync was out 1-8seconds at different points... you can't expect people to keep changing their sync settings every few mins

@eddywatson  I appreciate that, it's a valid point.

I personally often use Chromecast and actually casted the Manchester United V Juventus game myself but never seen any sort of sync issue with the sound.

Is there a different TV/device you can use to rule that out?

Cheers,

Robbie

Re: BT SPORTS APP: Casting to TV = Audio out of sync

To be fair you can't really tell if there is an audio sync issue by watching a football match with off-screen commentary. You need to look at something like a news channel with a face to camera speaker.

I get the same issue with the audio constantly going out of sync. Using a Samsung Note 8 and casting to an Nvidia Shield TV.

It only happens with the BT Sports app.... Chromecasting with anything else is fine. Please get this fixed.

Re: BT SPORTS APP: Casting to TV = Audio out of sync

It's VERY noticeable when watching rugby and listening to referee comments.

Casting from Samsung Note 8 to built-in Chromecast on a Sony Bravia. Casting from all other apps is perfect.
