Re: BT Sport 4K hdr and 4K on devices question

Appreciate your hands are tied, was just hoping for a general "likely/not likely" statement as looking to ditch my BT TV box 🙂

Re: BT Sport 4K hdr and 4K on devices question

Thanks however this still only mentions Samsung TV's, not any other android based TV's (i.e. Sony)?

Hi Gulioth - sorry to be a pain but can't really say at this point specific platforms we'll look to develop on next. All rather sensitive.

Re: BT Sport 4K hdr and 4K on devices question

Xbox One X (not sure about the S) now does 4K HDR 50fps when an Ultimate channel event is being broadcast in that format. Remember that it's HDR10 from BT, not HLG or Dolby Vision.
I don't know if the BT Sport app takes notice of the 50hz refresh rate option that is available to select in the console video output settings. It is definitely worth ensuring you have the 50hz output selected though.
I'm not sure if the 'Early Kick Off' show which starts at 10am today is 4K HDR however it's definitely at least 4K SDR. I think the West Ham Spurs match coverage, which starts at 12, is 4K HDR.
Enjoy.
