I have existing BT Broadband for a few years now and (recently upgraded the speeds) and I have also recently added a BT Mobile account and as far as I am aware the Mobile and Broadband accounts have now been merged into one.
I called earlier in the week as I was due to have the BT Sport App as part of my mobile contract. The girl kindly added this to my account and authorised its use and I was able to watch sports last night.
However, I tried to cast this to my Chromecast but was unable to do so.
One of the reasons the app suggested was that I was Mobile only and did not have a broadband account. However, I do have an existing broadband account and from what I have read should be able to cast from the app to the Chromecast.
I would be grateful if someone can look into this please and possible shed some light on things.
Thanks in advance.
Was you mobile 'phone connected to you home broadband?
Have you tried casting anything else? iPlayer or ITVhub ?
yes, all other apps I tried worked for casting.
The BT Sport app did appear on the screen it was casting to, it had the BT Sport logo on screen, with 'waiting to cast to start' (or similar) but when I played the Chelsea Arsenal game it only played on my phone with the BT Sport logo still on the screen I was casting to.
