BT Sport App with 4K Firestick pic freezing with 76 Mbps

Bought the BT Sport Monthly Pass today.

Took my Firestick 4K to my moms to watch the Football on her Panasonic TV

My Mom has a BT Smart Hub and has 76 Mbps download speed, the football either on Normal or on Ultimate kept freezing, in the end I just gave up.

I checked the router speed and it was still showing 76Mbps, I was wondering whether or not I should upgrade the router to a Smart Hub 2, but on reading comparisons there’s very little difference if any between the two.

The 4K Firestick works fine at my house and we only have up to 36Mbps.

Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated.

It's not just about how fast the internet speed is - the WiFi signal strength is just as important.
Use the cog in the top right corner of the app to show settings, from which you can run the device checker.
