Getting a lot of shudder using BT Sport App on Roku to view the live Chelsea Palace Stream (4K HDR) .
Anyone else having similar issue ?
(The BTSport 1HD Live stream is fine).
Switching to Samsung TV BT Sport App has no issue on the 4K HDR stream.
I'm using the Now TV 4K box - which is a rebadged Roku. No issues on Chelsa v Palace.
Got it on the 4K Firestick switched to Apple TV and although no hdr on apple picture stable haven’t gone back to Firestick to see if judder still there but it was uncomfortable to watch
i went back this week to try the BT Sport HDR streams on Roku and still experiencing issues with the HDR coverage juddering consistently over the past few nights . Tonight I had a ROKU update but no improvement.
Are Roku sticks now picking up the HDR feed? They weren't a few weeks ago
So is it a Roku issue , a WIFI issue , a BT Sport Issue or a Samsung TV issue ?
@zulu17 not sure but when I tried it on mine it took a couple of seconds to buffer and pull through 4K HDR when normally the Roku drops straight into 4K HDR on Disney,Prime etc. My Roku is connected at 150mbps as well. So my guessing is that it's using quite a bit of data and if you've not got a super fast connection, the Roku could struggle with buffering etc.
How fast is your broadband?
@zulu17 Didnyiu get this resolved?
I have just moved, my Roku stick was working fine before we moved picking up 4k HDR issues, that was this a 36mbps broadband speed.
Now we've moved to a 500mbps speed and the Rokubis stuttering on 4k HDR.
I have also bought another Roku to playnona non HDR 4k TV and it won't even play 4k giving a VC011 error.
Any ideas please?
Run a bandwidth/Broadband speed check through the Roku. The option is in the settings menu. Could be an issue with the strength or quality of signal due to thicker walls, wiring, steels in the walls etc
