BT Sport app on SkyQ

Currently there is no BT Sport app on the SkyQ box - but the app is listed in the PIN protection area for apps.

Is something on it's way?

If there is, we (the digital apps team) know nothing about it. I would be very surprised to see anything on there any time soon.

The app is now been added to the internal SkyQ stb apps list but is set to block it's appearance in the apps list.

It should roll out to Q following the launch of Sky Glass next week.

The BT Sport app can be seen in promotional material and is listed in the app section for the new service. As you say, it is showing in the Sky Q app xml it just needs activating.

I've checked with the wider tribe and confirmed there's definitely no BT Sport app coming to Sky Q or Sky Glass.

It's possible that the hidden settings you're seeing are related to the existing BT Sport services already offered on Sky - channels/vod/red button.

Interesting, because BT Sport has been available on Q for quite a while now and the xml has only changed in the last 2 weeks (as it did before Prime Video and Discovery+ launched), and it refers to the BT Sport app in the parental controls setting.

Guess we will find out shortly.
