Hi, I have the BT sport monthly pass, I cast from my iPhone 8 to Nvidia Shield tv.
If I cast a football match from say BT sport 1 HD, I definitely get HD at 50 FPS but I get the terrible fake crowd noise, so I try to cast BT sport extra HD1 and it only casts in SD at 25 FPS and looks awful but sounds better.
Why are you making it difficult for the cord cutters, is there a reason the extra channels don’t cast in HD even though they are listed in the app as HD?
Look forward to hearing your reply.
Hi, that’s a poor reply, Why does the DOG not state HD if that is the case? It is obviously the SD stream and not the HD stream that is being cast.
Upto 720p could be anything, Sky used to broadcast their movie channels in upto 720 before HD launched yes they where really good quality for the time but it was still SD.
1280×720 is HD and is either 720p - progressive scan or 720i - interlaced scan
Standard Def is 720 x 480
BT Sport is either 720p HD or full HD at 1920 X 1080
It's only YouTube that have stopped classifying 720p as HD
