BT Sport on YouView over copper

I am on an Infinity enabled exchange, but there are no plans to enable my cabinet, confirmed by "superfastnorthyorkshire.com" in an email

"I have confirmation that this cabinet is not going to be upgraded by either BT or as part of the Superfast North Yorkshire  programme as this area is served by Virgin Media."

However my ADSL2+ speed in 17-18 Mbps and the BTwholesale Broadband Availabilty Checker states thaat "Copper Multicast" is available on my line, so why am I not able to get BTSport or register for the BTV extra chanels on my YouView box?

Re: BT Sport on YouView over copper

Because BT have chosen not to provide multicast services over copper wires.  There's no technical reason why it can't be done - at least one other ISP does it.

So far as BT are concerned, only Infinity customers are allowed multicast.
