BT Sport via Youview Retail boxes & Infinity

If you are a BT Infinity customer with a Youview box you bought in a shop rather than from BT directly apparently you can now register your details with BT in order to receive the service.

'Customers will need to call BT on 0800 800 801 to register their details in order to get the channels.'

Remeber if you want to add this, then BT want you to enter into another 12 month contract

Also noticed the following regarding retail boxes

When BT Sport is available, you will need BT Infinity and a BT TV package from BT to watch it on YouView.

This suggests that someone with retail box who does not want to pay for BT TV has to take out BT TV to watch the sports package

BT Player PAYG is a BT TV package... Which doesn't cost anything.

Aren't they changing the packages for the retail boxes as mentioned in another post? And if so, could it affect users obtaining the BT Sports package
