BT Sport

Got code VC526 on my tv which BT sport doesn't recognise,any answers ?  thanks

VC526 means that it has taken more than 30 seconds to load the video - this would suggest that your network isn't fast enough to play even the lowest quality video stream.

Is this happening on all videos you select? Or just something specific?

Could you try rebooting your internet router please? Sounds like your TV is failing to reach our content servers in good time.

Could you also say specifically what device you're using? Make and model.

If you select the settings icon at the top right corner of the app, and then select Device Checker, what does that say about your network connection capabilities?

It says ,can display 4K HDR.

Also.   -Connection--you may get a faster more stable connection using a wired connection.

 

However Netflix manage a stable connection.

When you next experience the VC526 error, could you quickly go to that checker again and confirm it still says your connection is fast enough?  Keen to identify if there's potentially another cause of the video failing to download.

Are you logged into the app on your TV with the same ID you've logged into these forums with @Ringer1 ?

Logs this end show that it failed the device checker - shows your speed borderline good enough to manage just HD.  You should see a green tick if fast enough, not a red cross.

Looking at your previous playback sessions, your speed fluctuates quite a lot - it never fails when playing video clips, but can struggle when playing live video.

It's normal for on-demand video (e.g. the video clips in the app, and anything on Netflix) to work much better as it can buffer further into the future to prevent the video from failing.  For live video, it needs to be able to keep up otherwise it can fall too far behind and fail.

I'll also be the first to admit that Netflix are much better with their video distribution - world leaders in it.  They manage to squeeze every possible bit out of your connection to get the best quality video stream.

Is your broadband speed decent?  Is this just a wifi speed issue, that could possibly be resolved with wifi extenders or powerline adapters?
